Currently, researchers from Europe, Russia and the United States are working on a project for the defense of Near Earth Objects (so-called “NEO’s”).

The earth is constantly in danger to collide with a rock from space. To date, over 8000 NEOs have been discovered. Around 1300 of these are potentially dangerous to earth.
The asteroid researchers are looking for ways to change the orbits of these dangerous “bullets” in a timely manner.


What do you think about this project?

NEO Shield addresses one small part of the big picture. Stephen Hawking has predicted we need to be colonizing other planets in 100 years. Not just a few explorers, but a large sustainable population, to keep humanity alive.
